Er, all of them? Or just Espers? cos I saw them the other night too, and they had their shirts off and were playing bongos.

Espers mainly, yes - but there was some confusion over who was Espers and who was Josephine. We liked the one Josephine song we saw, although that too was very hippie.

Devendra and Espers were indeed, now, "fucking hippies". I admit that i’m surprised about Josephine… I’ve only heard her CDs, but she comes across as something very non-boho. Too straight-backed and solemn. (And great!) But then I don’t think her new CD’s that great, so who knows what transformations have occurred.

Um. I didn’t say there was anything wrong with hippies. I was just describing the evening’s fare…not inaccurately I feel. The fucking was there for emphasis - as it often is.
