Plan B-bay

OK, so I’m moving house. Does anyone want:

Broken Korg Poly61 synthesiser (needs love; will still sound like Yes even when it’s fixed, but has had MIDI refit so you can use it as a 5-octave MIDI keyboard if you so desire. If you get all the keys working again, that is)
a million used jiffy bags
huge bag of red lentils
lots of scripts for plays (remnants of theatre studies A-level)
lots of other books I’m never gonna read
all those rubbish post-rock records
the promo ‘no’ box - take the lot, it’s yours, free.
beautiful old brown leather chair that needs reupholstering - like I’m ever gonna do it
begonia plant, ailing
nice picture of Bristol suspension bridge
assorted vintage scarves and bags and hats
loads of other old shit that I’ve been carrying around with me way too long?

Come and get ‘em. Please.

I’ll take the pic of Bristol suspension bridge. How fucked is the Korg? I’m ready, willing and able to sound like Yes.

You scabby freeloaders. Forget them, Frances. Take them to a charity shop.

Iotar, the Korg is… well, I took the top off but I can put it back on (just seeing how it worked, you know…). The main fuckage is that some of the keys no longer work (beer + spillage) but I think that’s fixable. It’s generally a little unpredictable and takes a lot of work to sound any good. But it works on the same principles as your mini-Korg - kind of a crap early 80s uncle to it, if you like. The program and parameter type stuff looks a bit like your new machine. But older and more rubbish.

It has a great little arpeggiator though, and with a little coaxing does some nice tricks. I still think it sounds Yes-ish though.

Take it, it’s yours for nowt! It would look nice in your nu hetero synth partnership.

Cheers Frances! I have this secret plan to make a buddy-buddy cop movie with Rick Wakeman one of these days.

I’ll try to pick up the Korg later in the week. Is that soon enough?
